Proof

Did I mention ... I'm PREGNANT!!!

I still have the pee stick from when I first found out I was pregnant with Megan. Unfortunately, the digital test is only good for 24 hours so I needed something a little more permanent. Look, it's a positive test and this one should last for the years to come!!!

There's No Spoon In Your Blood

We told Megan the other morning that she was going to be a big sister ... that there was a baby in Mommy's belly. She turned around, looked at me, smiled and then ran back to her movie. It wasn't until later when Thomas woke up that we realized that she was excited about the baby because as soon as he woke up she told him about the good news.

Since then she has had tons of questions. When is the baby coming? Where's the baby? What did I do when I was a baby? Most recently, she asked what does the baby eat. This came conveniently just hours after we had a conversation about blood, veins and arteries. I initially told her that the baby ate what mommy ate. How? Mommy's blood takes the food to the baby. To which she replied "but there's no spoon in your blood!!!"

2nd Pregnancy Test

I had my second pregnancy test today. My level was 93 on Thursday and it needed to be 186 for it to have doubled. It was 256 ... whooohooo ... I'm PREGNANT!!!

I go in June 14th or 15th for a pregnancy Sono ... Oh, I can't wait to show those pictures ...

So Surreal

After waiting on pins and needles all afternoon I finally received the call that I have been waiting for for years.

Nurse: Is Amber there?
Me: This is Amber?
Nurse: This is Patty ... how are you?
Me: I'm good, how are you?
Nurse: You are gonna be better!
Me: SERIOUSLY?!? Tell me!!!!!!
Nurse: Yep, your hcg came back at 93 and your progesterone at 41. Those levels are pretty good.
... ... ...

There was more to the conversation but what else is there to know? This little one has been so very much anticipated and I just can't believe it's finally real.

I got off the phone and I sobbed. Tears of sweet joy and relief ... but still body shaking, heart wrenching sobs none the less.

I then had to wait over an hour for daddy to get back from his tour before he finally called to ask about the results.

Him: Hey Love, any news?
Me: Yeah ... you remember the last time we were at the water park?
Him: Yeah?
Me: I was PREGNANT!!!
Him: YOU'RE KIDDING ... oh wow ... Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you ... for us!!!

There was more to that conversation as well ... but that's the main gist of it.

I go back in Saturday morning for a repeat blood draw ... but for now I am gloriously and very happily PREGNANT!!!
